Promoting your Community through Zora

1 min read

Zora is not a platform for hard selling. Instead, it’s a space to build trust, share value, and grow your presence through real community connections. If you are running a Community on Zora, promotion is less about pushing content and more about engaging meaningfully with people who care about what you do.

Here are some thoughtful ways to promote your Community within the spirit of Zora.

1. Share helpful, human-first content #

Post updates, reflections, and behind-the-scenes moments that reflect your Community’s purpose. Share stories, answer common questions, or explain your impact. People are more likely to follow and support you if they understand what you stand for.

Ideas include:

  • Weekly reflections or “day in the life” updates

  • Tips or resources your audience would find helpful

  • Member spotlights or testimonials

  • Updates about events, milestones or learning moments

2. Use events and job posts with care #

Job and event postings help you connect with people in practical ways. Be clear, honest and fair in your listings. Prioritise accessibility — explain what to expect and how to get involved.

Remember: opportunities should benefit users, not just your organisation.

3. Invite interaction, not just attention #

Ask thoughtful questions, start meaningful conversations, or encourage users to share their experiences. The more interactive and grounded your posts are, the more trust you will build.

Examples:

  • “What advice would you give someone starting a similar journey?”

  • “We’d love to hear your thoughts — how do you handle this situation?”

  • “Tell us your favourite free resource for new parents/entrepreneurs/students etc.”

4. Tag and connect with others #

Use @mentions to highlight collaborators, community members, or relevant people. This helps build visibility and encourages mutual support across the platform.

Do not tag people randomly or excessively — use tagging as a way to uplift others, not to chase attention.

5. Join in wider conversations #

Browse other Communities, join public threads, or comment on posts that align with your work. Being visible in other parts of Zora in a respectful, human way can help others discover your Community organically.

6. Keep your Community profile up to date #

Make sure your Community page clearly reflects your values and current focus. Update your description, profile image, and pinned posts as needed. A strong profile helps people understand and trust who you are.

7. Avoid pushy or self-centred tactics #

Zora is not a place for aggressive marketing, automated messages, or engagement farming. Do not pressure users to follow or join, and avoid repetitive or overly polished content that feels out of place in a community-centred space.

Our approach to visibility #

Zora does not use algorithm-driven feeds. Instead, visibility comes from relevance, engagement, and presence across the platform. The more your Community interacts meaningfully, the more people you will reach.

Promotion on Zora is not about standing out — it’s about showing up, consistently and kindly. When you centre your values and your people, visibility will follow.
