Blocking or reporting someone

1 min read

Zora Social is a space for honest sharing and respectful connection. If another user is making you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or violated in any way, you have the right and ability to take action. This article explains how to block or report someone on Zora.

When should I block someone? #

You may choose to block a user if:

  • They are sending you unwanted messages

  • They are interacting with your posts in ways that feel harassing or invasive

  • You no longer wish to see their content

  • You need space from a specific person or group

Blocking someone is a private action — the other person will not be notified.

What happens when I block a user? #

Once blocked:

  • They will no longer be able to view your profile

  • They cannot message you

  • They will not see your posts or updates

  • You will not see their content in your feeds

  • You will automatically unfollow each other (if you were connected)

Blocking is reversible. You can unblock someone from your account settings at any time.

How to block a user #

  1. Go to the profile of the person you want to block.

  2. Click the three-dot menu (•••) in the top corner of their profile.

  3. Select “Block user”.

  4. Confirm your decision when prompted.

If the person continues to create new accounts to contact you, report them.

When should I report someone? #

Reporting is important when a user has:

  • Violated Zora’s Community Guidelines

  • Posted hateful, abusive, or discriminatory content

  • Shared nudity, violence, or graphic imagery

  • Threatened or targeted individuals or groups

  • Shared misinformation or harmful advice

  • Engaged in spam, scams, or impersonation

Reports help us maintain a safe and accountable platform for all users.

How to report a user or content #

You can report:

  • A specific post or comment

  • A private message

  • An entire user profile

To report:

  1. Click the flag icon next to the post, comment, or profile.

  2. Choose the reason for your report from the dropdown.

  3. Add a short explanation if needed.

  4. Click Submit report.

All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. If urgent or threatening, we may act without notifying the other user. Severe violations can lead to account suspension or permanent removal.

What happens after I report someone? #

  • Your report is logged and reviewed

  • If necessary, the content is removed

  • The user may be warned, restricted, or banned

  • You will not be identified as the reporter

  • You may receive follow-up if further detail is needed

We treat every report seriously and aim to respond promptly.
