What are Courses? #
Courses on Zora are community-driven learning experiences designed to help users share knowledge, build skills, and grow together. Whether hosted by individuals, partner organisations, or Communities, courses offer a structured yet accessible way to learn within a trusted network.
Zora Courses are not academic in the traditional sense — they are grassroots, practical, and often informed by lived experience. Topics can range from starting a small business in the UK to mental health support, language skills, cultural workshops, or creative pursuits.

Taking a Course #
To take a course on Zora:

Visit the Courses section from your dashboard or the main menu

Browse listings by topic, popularity, or newest

Click on a course to view details like length, modules, instructor info, and format

Click ‘Join Course’ to enrol and begin learning at your own pace
Many courses are free, though some premium courses may require a subscription or one-time fee. Details are clearly stated on each listing.
Creating a Course #
If you are a Premium User, Host, or recognised Community, you can create and publish your own course. To do so:

Go to your dashboard and select ‘Create Course’

Add a title, summary, course structure, and media (images, documents, video, etc.)

Decide on access: open to all, members only, or by approval

Choose whether it’s free or premium

Submit for review if required, or publish immediately
Tips for Course Creators #

Course Quality and Ethics #
Zora encourages diverse knowledge sharing but holds all course creators to community standards. Misinformation, hate speech, exploitative content, or inappropriate conduct will result in removal and possible account action. We encourage learners to report anything concerning.
