Becoming a Verified Community

2 min read

The Verified Community badge is our way of recognising trusted groups, organisations, and initiatives on Zora that demonstrate active commitment to immigrant support, transparency, and meaningful engagement.

Verification not only builds credibility — it opens up new ways to collaborate and grow your presence across the platform.

What is Verification? #

A Verified Community on Zora:

  • Shows a special badge next to its name

  • Appears higher in search results and recommendations

  • Gains access to exclusive tools (like analytics and spotlight features)

  • Has priority access to events, campaigns, and pilot programmes

  • Is eligible for formal partnership opportunities

Verification is not automatic. It’s earned through real engagement, trust, and purpose.

Who Qualifies? #

To become verified, your community should:

  • Have a completed Community page with up-to-date content

  • Be active — posting updates, creating events, or engaging with followers

  • Be clearly aligned with community support, inclusion, or immigrant-focused work

  • Demonstrate trust and accountability (e.g. through a known organisation, lead members, or past work)

We verify both formal organisations and informal groups that are clearly grounded in public benefit.

What’s the Process? #

  1. Review your Community page — make sure your bio, images, and contact links reflect your purpose

  2. Submit a Verification Request through your dashboard or the support page

  3. Our team reviews your profile and may reach out for additional details

  4. If approved, your badge will appear automatically

You’ll receive an email confirming the outcome, whether successful or not.

Common Reasons for Rejection #

  • Incomplete or inactive pages

  • Lack of clarity about your group’s focus or purpose

  • Content that conflicts with our Community Guidelines

  • Duplicate or impersonation attempts

We’ll always offer suggestions if we decline verification and welcome you to apply again.

Want Help? #

If you’re unsure whether your Community is ready, feel free to contact our team. We’re happy to guide you through best practices and share examples of verified pages that reflect Zora’s values.

Verification is not about status — it’s about trust. When people see your badge, they know you’re rooted, real, and ready to connect.
