Circles on Zora

What are Circles? #

Circles are dedicated spaces on Zora where members can gather around shared interests, locations, goals, or identities. Whether you are looking to connect with others from your city, join a cultural collective, or build a support system for a cause, Circles offer a flexible and focused environment to do just that.

They are designed to strengthen local connections and foster meaningful interactions within smaller, more intentional communities.

What you can do in a Circle #

  • Share posts and updates relevant to the Circle’s purpose

  • Engage in discussions through comments and replies

  • Create or discover events hosted by members of the Circle

  • Exchange resources like links, media, or tools

  • Build trust with people who share your lived experience or interests

Types of Circles #

  • Public Circles: Anyone can view and join. Posts are visible to all users.

  • Private Circles: Users must request to join or be invited. Only members can see the content.

  • Hidden Circles: Invitation-only and do not appear in the directory or search results.

Creating a Circle #

Any participant on Zora can start a Circle. When you create one, you become its organiser and are responsible for:

  • Setting the name, description, and purpose

  • Choosing the privacy level

  • Managing members and permissions

  • Setting tone and expectations within the space

Why join a Circle? #

  • To find people who understand your journey

  • To discover events and discussions relevant to your community

  • To contribute to a space where your voice matters

  • To explore shared cultural, professional, or personal experiences

Circle Etiquette #

Every Circle thrives on mutual respect. While rules may vary between Circles, all users are expected to:

  • Honour differing perspectives

  • Keep discussions relevant and inclusive

  • Avoid spamming or off-topic content

  • Report any abuse to Circle organisers or platform moderators

Circles are at the heart of Zora’s commitment to local, authentic community building. Whether you are here to make friends, build initiatives, or stay connected with your roots, there’s a Circle for you — and if not, you can always start one.
