Who is a Partner Community?

Understanding Organisational Presence on Zora #

A Partner Community is a verified organisation, group, or collective that collaborates with Zora Social to bring added value to immigrant communities across the UK. These partners play a unique role by supporting local engagement, amplifying key initiatives, and contributing resources or services to our ecosystem.

This article explains what Partner Communities are, how they function, and how to become one.

What is a Partner Community? #

Partner Communities are more than just users — they are recognised organisations or collectives that represent missions aligned with Zora’s purpose. They may be:

  • Community hubs or cultural associations

  • Non-profit organisations or local charities

  • Professional networks or migrant-led groups

  • Service providers or knowledge platforms

  • University departments, unions, or civic institutions

Each Partner Community manages a Community Page and operates transparently on Zora, offering public value.

What Makes a Community a Partner? #

Partnerships are intentional. A Partner Community must demonstrate:

  • A focus on inclusion, support, or development within immigrant communities

  • Alignment with Zora’s values of respect, localism, and storytelling

  • A track record of impact or consistent community presence

  • Willingness to use Zora to meaningfully engage and support users

Once onboarded, Partner Communities receive formal recognition and tools to help them connect and grow.

Features and Benefits #

Partner Communities gain access to:

  • A verified badge and tailored Community Page

  • Ability to post events, job listings, and announcements

  • Increased visibility in relevant groups or topics

  • Analytics to understand user engagement

  • Opportunities to co-create content or campaigns with Zora

  • Access to our partnership liaison for ongoing support

They also help shape platform priorities by giving insight into real-time community needs.

Who Manages a Partner Community? #

Each Partner Community assigns one or more Hosts to manage their Community Page. These Hosts:

  • Represent the organisation in posts and messages

  • Moderate discussions if needed

  • Share opportunities, resources, or event updates

  • Respond to member queries or comments

  • Participate in network-wide calls or co-learning sessions when invited

Zora may also assign internal liaisons for strategic partners.

How to Become a Partner Community #

To request Partner Community status, an organisation must:

  1. Sign up and create a Community Page

  2. Submit a short partnership form outlining their mission and proposed role

  3. Agree to Zora’s terms of use and community guidelines

  4. Undergo a short verification and onboarding process with our team

Zora reviews partnership requests based on integrity, relevance, and capacity to engage.
