Beautiful Victorian mahogany bookcase circa 1880. This impressive piece features two glazed doors with original glass and brass fittings, opening to reveal four adjustable shelves. The lower section has two solid panel doors concealing additional storage with one fixed shelf. Decorative carved details along the cornice and base. Dimensions: 213cm high x 120cm wide x 38cm deep. The bookcase is in excellent antique condition with a lovely patina and only minor signs of age-related wear consistent with a piece of this vintage. The interior has been recently cleaned and lined with fresh baize. A truly stunning piece that would make a statement in any period or contemporary home.
